Media has always been the chief medium of circulating any news. Whether it is some important political news, entertainment news, or some social events, the news channels broadcast the news and send messages to the global watchers. But have you ever thought about the implications of sending the wrong message through the media? The result can be outrageous. So, it is always the responsibility of the news reporters to maintain the originality of the news.

Share responsibly

The 1992 Los Angeles riots started as the trial jury acquitted four police officers from LAPD even on excessive torturing and beating Rodney King. The video of the torture was a nationwide broadcast over the TV channels. Thousands of Americans started to protest over six days after the passing of the verdict. Looting and assault took place as the police failed to control the angry mob. If you think in the present context. You will realize that it is also the duty of media and the viewers to share the videos after thinking about the impacts.

Worsening racism

Talking about the liberal spin on riots, racism has always been a problem in the socio-political arena. There is a difference between a riot and a rebellion. Although the liberals claim that the events of 1992 were an uprising war, the fact holds that it was a riot. There have been examples of racism in the country, making liberals feel that discrimination is harmful to the peaceful social life where the people of different races stay in the same community.

Protest with a motive

The riot was ultimately chaos as the liberals failed to convey the right messages. It was easy to showcase the assaults as hooliganism while the liberals were actually trying to protest against the differentiations. Looting of assets became the evidence for the greed of the protestors while the liberals tried to establish that the motives of the people were complex.

Vent to anger

The liberal spin on riots is all about venting out the anger through the protests and riots. But when you think from an apolitical person’s point of view, is it possible to send any good message by attacking the reporters or shooting at the news copters? These may be the outcome of anger, but the message would have been clear if the riots did not reach a point of violence.

Finding peace

Violence can never be the solution to any problem, even if some people have been suffering for years. If the rioters tried to get respect, it was not feasible to attack the firemen, school buses, or paramedics. Nobody can gain anything by hurting the emergency service providers or children. Humanity is above such racism and violence.

Instill hope

Minorites have always faced discrimination. But the riot only caused violence, and it is impossible to get justice through violence. Sixty-three people died officially, which can never be a ray of hope for the rioters. If you want to instill hope in the minds of these people, love and peace is the only way out.
